About Stari Bar (Old Bar)

Stari Bar is a ruined medieval city perched on a hillside, surrounded by some of the world's oldest olive trees (one is reportedly 2,000+ years old). The sprawling archaeological site encompasses Byzantine, Venetian, and Ottoman ruins. The village below the ruins offers authentic rural Montenegrin life with stone houses, local olive oil production, and incredible views.
