A busy student and commuter town by Fukuoka University, delivering high compact-unit yields and fast access to Tenjin

About Ohashi (Minami)

Ohashi runs on youth and convenience. Anchored by its Nishitetsu-line station just minutes south of central Tenjin, this Minami-ward town is shaped above all by Fukuoka University, one of Kyushu's largest, whose tens of thousands of students fill the area's dense apartment blocks and keep the streets lined with cheap ramen counters, izakaya and bookshops. The vibe is unpretentious and energetic: this is a working commuter and student district, well served by trains and buses, with neighborhood parks and the Naka River path providing modest green relief and bigger green spaces a short ride away. For investors, Ohashi is one of Fukuoka's clearest yield plays, affordable studios with near-constant student occupancy in a growing city, with the important caveat that those returns hinge on university demand and face stiff competition from the local supply of compact investor units.
